FORMATION

Agate forms as microscopic layers of silica accumulate within cavities in volcanic rock, creating the distinctive bands seen throughout the stone.

Over time, small crystals may develop within an open cavity, forming a sparkling druzy surface.

Each geode reveals its own combination of banding, colour and crystalline texture.

NATURAL VARIATION

Every geode has its own natural patterns, colours and cavity formations. The three available specimens vary in their banding, outer rind, shape and the appearance of their crystal-lined centres. These geodes are supplied as undyed specimens, allowing their natural colours and patterns to remain the focus.

Each specimen has its own character, from pale, smoky banding to deep blue-black layers and warm, earthy tones. The druzy cavities also differ in shape, size and visible sparkle, making every piece individually distinctive.

Polished druzy geode cut base

A — PALE PRINCESS

A pale, distinctive specimen with a cream-white outer rind, smoky grey and brown banding, and a super glittery sparkly central cavity. Its contrasting tones draw the eye towards the naturally formed centre, creating a striking balance between light and shadow.

B — LADY BLUE

A tall, dramatic specimen featuring deep blue-black and blue-grey banding, with warm brown tones around its outer layers. A narrow, elongated crystal-lined cavity sits at its centre, giving this geode an eye-like appearance.

C — DRUZY DARLING

A warm-toned specimen with rich brown and amber banding surrounding a wider, irregular central cavity. Its visible druzy crystals catch the light, giving this piece a particularly textured and sparkling appearance.

PHYSICAL CARE

- Gently remove dust from the stone and crystal-lined cavity using a soft, dry brush. Take care around the delicate druzy crystals to avoid dislodging or damaging them.

- Wipe the smooth, cut edges and outer surfaces with a soft cloth to remove fingerprints and surface dust.

- If needed, use gentle, low-pressure air to help dislodge dust from hard-to-reach areas. Keep the nozzle at a distance and avoid forceful blasts that could loosen small crystals.

- If a more thorough clean is necessary, use a small amount of lukewarm water sparingly, no more than once or twice a year.

- Avoid soaking the geode, and dry it thoroughly afterwards. If the crystal lining appears loose or fragile, stick to dry cleaning methods.

- Avoid extreme temperatures and sudden changes in temperature, which may cause damage to the stone.

- Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners and cleaning products that could damage the stone or affect its surface.

ENERGETIC CLEANSING

Smoke Cleansing: Pass the geode gently through incense smoke, using your preferred cleansing intention. Keep it away from direct flames and excessive heat.

Moonlight: Place the geode in a safe spot under the moonlight as part of your personal cleansing ritual. Avoid leaving it somewhere exposed to weather or accidental damage.

Sound Cleansing: Use a singing bowl, chime or gentle sound to accompany your cleansing ritual. Avoid striking the geode directly.

Selenite Resting: Place the geode on a selenite plate or within a designated resting space to incorporate it into your energetic cleansing practice.
